This is my double page spread, i have used the colours red, grey, white and black again. I think it makes it more professional using one colour scheme throughout the project. I hve also used the same font throughout as well. I have added drop shadows to boxes to make them stand out and an outer glow to the title becuase it makes it stand out from everything else. I have also added a drop quote because it makes the article stand out to readers. I have put the part about the bands new album in bold so that it again stands out to readers. I have also used lots of images because it also makes the article more interesting to read. I have added small boxes that have some information about the band members because fans are interesting in what band members are into.I like the layout of my doulbe page spread because it is not to busy and difficult to know where to read, but still interesting to look at with my use of pictures and colours.
The double page spread works really well. i do like the colours as they work well but when i first looked at it, it looked a light shade of purple whcih i didnt think went with the red. But now i have looked at it the colours go well. The pictures work well but i think maybe just the main picture should be on the maagazine maybe not the little ones on top of it. But still is a strong double page spread. A really good double page spread done :)

When i look at your contents and front cover, i notice that compared to those your double page spread looks quite dull, youve used quite bold colours, maybe it would look better a bi brighter. Other then that one negative point, Well done! looks nice!

ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have taken your time to make it not look too busy and it's very easy to read and to know where to look for certain bits of information such as the two boxes at the top with the info about the band members. I like the colour scheme, and it works really well with the images. Maybe the colour's could have been a little more light, this would have made it stand out a lot more. However this is a very good double page spread you should be very happy with it (:
I really like this double page spread! The use of colour makes it stand out, and appeal to the auidence and both genders.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you have layed out your pictures, they are clear and have been composed well. The fonts that you have used are consistent to the rest of the magazine, and go well with the style.
The background could be a bit dull compared to your front cover and contents, but other than that well done. It looks really good. :)
I like the double page spread here with the mix of the three colours, as they work well with one another. One thing I would say is that you could have maybe filled the majority of the gaps, nevertheless apart from that it looks like a really good double page spread, well done.
