I have now completed my course work. It consists of a front cover, contents page and double page spread.
This is my finished front cover, i designed this on photoshop. I have used lots of drop shadows to make the font stand out from the rest of the magazine. It also makes it easier to read. I have used the same colours so it doesn't look unprofessional. The colours i have used are red, white and black.

olour scheme accept having yellow as well. i have made the font quite big so that it shows what are the main features in the magazine. The other articles i have written in a smaller font because aren't a main feature. I like the layout of mine because i think it isn't neat and sraight, i like the sort of laid back look about it.
I think the space is used well on the front cover, and the red white and black colour scheme works well and is consistant. The contents page is good because there are pictures of other bands as well as the pictures you took.

ReplyDeleteYour cover and contents are nice, and the colour scheme fits nicely with the genre of music you have chosen. One of the things I think could be improved on in your cover would be how much of the page is taken up by sale lines. The area where there is no sale lines where you can see the girls faces looks a little too empty because the rest of the page is so busy.

ReplyDeleteI really like your front cover and contents page, i havent got nothing bad to say about them, there bold and bright, eye catching. The way youve set them out is nice youve been quite creative and i can see its taken time to get it like this. Nice one!
ReplyDeleteI think that the picture and masthead is really good and the colour scheme works well, however I feel that perhaps you have used to many cover and sale lines as it takes up a god majority of the page, this is the only real negative I can put together the rest of your work is really nice.
